Martial Vinyasa Arts

Free yourself and the world from pain and suffering through moving meditation.

According to Funakoshi, Karate and Yoga have a shared history. Karate-Do Kyhon

According to Otsuka, what is the objective of Martial Arts? "Peace on earth". "The 'path' of martial arts is the foundation of a peaceful society and exists to better the collective existence of humanity." Wado Ryu Karate

According to Birch, The sound of the breath gives the mind something to focus on. Listening to this sound is an attentiveness training technique, and enables us to practice mindfulness.  Power Yoga

According to Pantanjali, what is Yoga? YS1.2: yogash chitta vritti nirodha. Yoga is the control of the modifications (modulations) of the mind. Yoga Sutras

Gichin Funakoshi introduced his martial art to Tokyo in 1922. At the time it was called To-De (Chinese hand). At the time this was not an acceptable name to Japanese officials. But a slight alteration (or reinterpretation) of the kanji meant it could be translated to 'empty hand'. Karate-Do Khon

A common understanding of the word Vinyasa: Nyasa means “to place.” This can refer to a physical placing of the hands in a specific way or a placing of attention to a specific area. Vi means “special.” So vinyasa means to place the hands in such a way to bring healing. Yoga Sutras (Ashtanga Yoga)

Martial Arts + Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga = Martial Vinyasa Arts (MVA), revealed in 2017 to free yourself and the world from pain and suffering through moving meditation.
